Vitamin B5 (a.k.a. Pantothenic Acid, Calcium Pantothenate, Panthenol)
This vitamin is necessary for the conversion of fat and sugar into energy, although its mechanism of action is not known. It is present in whole grains, wheat germ, bran, green vegetables and brewer’s yeast. It also is synthesized by intestinal bacteria. This vitamin promotes wound healing and antibody formation.
