always cold

My daughter is 29 years old. She is always cold and has been for years. Her toe nails and fingernails are frequently blue in color. Any ideas what the problem could be?

Some of the possibilities: hypothyroidism, circulatory problems, anxiety with overproduction of epinephrine, gut wall infection, mercury toxicity, mineral deficiency, some combination of the aforementioned.
