water filtration and pH

I currnently have a reverse osmosis system. I read your post about minerals and water and it makes sense. What do you make of the issue of RO water having an acid Ph? And on that note have you: 1.heard of deionized water and what do you make of it? 2. heard of the Dr. Hayashi's Hydrogen stick which claims to be much better than deionizers?

Unless you consume abnormally large quantities of water the minor pH variations are not going to matter. The best water for detox is distilled, of course. The argument against that is the absence of minerals, however I am not sure who came up with the idea that minerals should come from water. Minerals come from the earth and if they are present in water that means they are basically from dirt, that is to say not chelated by plants. Chelation through living plants make them more available to human metabolism. Newsflash: the proper source of minerals is vegetable matter. I know nothing of "Dr. Hayashi's Hydrogen stick." If is is deionization you want, distilled water is totally free of ions (which are dissociated minerals by the way). NaCl is salt. Throw it in water and it becomes Na+ and Cl-, that is to say it becomes ionized. An example of ionized water is to be found down at the beach. We don't drink that stuff because we are already full of ionized water because we are in the living state - basically full of sea water which is where we apparently originated 3.5 billions years ago.
