Leaky Gut

I am 33 year old male and I live in Australia. For many years I have been ill with many symptoms, only to find out last year that I have Leaky Gut Syndrome. I have been to many doctors over the years and have never had anyone able to help me get rid of my problems. I started researching about mercury about 3 years ago and decided to have all my amalgams removed. I thought this might help with my leaky gut but it hasn't. My question to you is: would it be worth my energy to come to the states to see you with these problem? I am very keen to do whatever it takes to rid myself of candida problems and all these food allergies I have picked up

Robert, please excuse the tardiness of my answer. My website malfunctioned and did not inform me you had posted a question. I encourage you to come to California for treatment if you can. I have several patients from overseas with the problem you describe and we have been able to manage it quite successfully.

I would seriously consider your offer of coming to the states. I know leaky gut is not something that is fixable over night, but what would be a realistic time frame of getting some results or onto a program that I could continue in Australia. Getting a green card to work would be very difficult. So I would only be able to get a tourist visa which I assume is only 6 months. Any advice on these matters would greatly help me in making a decision.

The first step is metal detox. If you have metal dental work, that must first be replaced with non-metalic substitutes. Then comes chelation to remove the metal which has escaped the dental work and resides in the brain and spinal cord as well as other lipid storage areas. How long all that takes depends on where you are as a starting point. You may be able to accomplish the metal removal and substitution in Australia. If so, that saves a lot of time. In the meantime, stop eating fish and other water food. At that point we can test for residual metals, put you on a detox program and send you back to Australia with the SanPharma Protocol. You would then carry out the instructions and I would be there to answer questions by email. It is therefore possible to be here for a short visit and then return. If you want to stay a long time, don't let me discourage you, but it does not have to be so for treatment.

Thank you so much for your valued input into these matters. Everything you have detailed all makes me feel very positive that maybe one day I could live a normal life. I am still just so shocked that so many doctors know nothing or very little about Leaky Gut, and at times I am telling them more than they know. The SanPharma Protocol sounds very promising. I have found a doctor only just recently who will do chelation therapy for me. I have made an appointment and will be seeing the doctor soon. I am keen to get chelation done, but I am a little worried about what I have read over the Internet about the risks, and yes there are risks to even cross a road. Would you be able to tell me what type of chelation would be the best to use in my circumstances, not that you know my whole history. I have heard that people with Leaky Gut can have some side affects. Would you recommend a certain type of chelation. I do know they use DMPS, DMSA, EDTA, and Vit C.

Those are good chelators. DMPS IV and DMSA orally are best for going after lead. IV EDTA is best to bring out the lead. Vit. C is a weaker chelator and is not so selective, but is usually mixed in with the others when given IV with good effect. If you have an experienced doc (in chelation), put your trust in that person. If done correctly, chelation should be almost without side-effect. I look forward to seeing you when the metal is gone.
