peroxide/fatigue

I have two questions, but first I need to let you know that I have emphysema and Iím on oxygen 24/7. I have a FEV1 of 24 and I am on Foradil, Spiriva and Albuterol as needed. I am 66 years old.
1. I have found some internet sites that clam that nebulizing with peroxide will help people with emphysema, but I have also found more sites that state that it will do more harm then good. Two of those sites are Quack-watch and the FDA. The FDA does not disclaim it but states that it has never been proven. I believe you are into alternative medicine so I was wondering what the truth is. It would be nice to find something that would give more relief then the ones I am taking now.
2. I have aching muscles and lack of energy most of the time, there are times when I wake up and my whole body aches. When I stretch it feels so good and it helps to take most of the aching out but not all of it. I also have restless leg some of the time and a loss of memory and a foggy brain. Some of my memory loss and brain fog seem to increase after my six day stay in the hospital in 2/2006. I exercise three times a day trying to stay in good physical shape. I have been to two different clinics (Stanford Hospital, Camino Medical Group) trying to fine out what might be the reason but so far all Iíve gotten is up set by the lack of interest in figuring out my problem. All they gave me are blood tests and they show up as ok, I have given up on doctors because of there lack of interest.

IV and nubulized hydrogen peroxide are excellent treatments for mucous congestion, if and when that complicates emphysema. They also facilitate oxygen transfer in the lungs and that is also of great benefit to emphysema patients. As a general rule, if QuackWatch says it is no good, it is in fact probably the best treatment around. The level of ignorance, prejudice, uninformed misinformation and outright stupidity displayed by the author of QuackWatch is such that it is difficult not to attribute evil intent to it. Muscle aching can surely be attributed to hypoxia (lowered blood oxygen tension) which is common to emphysema. If you manage to get your O2 tension up to 90+ and you still have chronic aching muscles, the next most common cause in a case like that would be damage to the immune system by toxic heavy metals. If it comes to that, contact me again and I will go into more detail. I suggest you be in the hands of a good doc. You can use my website to find one. Just click on Find A Doctor and order a list.
