dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO)

My question is in regards to dilution of distilled water with dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO) for usage concerning degenerative disc disease in the C-2 to C-4 area. I was told I needed surgery in this area 2 years ago, but have maintained by doing yoga everyday and using my nordic trac. I am better, but still have pain. I do not like taking drugs and use bio-freeze. I recently learned about the above mentioned treatment for topical use, but need to know the proportion of distilled water to add to the mixture.

For topical uses, DMSO is recommended to be diluted to 10% DMSO with 90% water in the head and neck region, 40 : 60 in the chest region, 60 : 40 upper abdomen, 80 : 20 lower abdomen and below that it can be used 100%. I am not suggesting that you use it, only reflecting what percentages are recommended. If one is going to use it, I suggest using the pharmaceutical grade DMSO, if you can get it. You have to obtain that through a doctor. The brand name of that product is Cryoserve. Your doctor can order it through McGuff at 800-854-7220.
