What do you recommend for the treatment of reoccuring episodes of genital herpes besides the current pharmacutical products? As of this date, this is in remission. I had attempted to control it with various supplements (garlic, cats claw, etc) and hydrogen peroxide spray several times a day, without much success.

An alert and powerful immune system will keep all varieties of herpes - genitalis, simplex and zoster - in remission. So one must start at the most basic level of achieving and maintaining health - diet, exercise, stress management, sufficient sleep, detoxification (organic toxins, heavy metals), cessation of habits which depress the immune system - drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, and so on. For most people this is a sweeping change of lifestyle and health habits. All of this needs to happen before one thinks of adding specific nutrients, supplements, etc. or calling in the big guns which are intravenous hydrogen peroxide and photoluminescence or else the big guns will have only a temporary effect. Although more effective with simplex, lysine, C, and bioflavinoids should all be part of the program. It is a good idea to be under the care of an experienced doc who knows the ins and outs and can offer some of the big gun therapies if needed. use Find A Doc - yellow tab above.
