SAMe and high DHEA levels

I had a saliva hormone analysis and my testoterone level was normal and my cortisol level was on the low end of the scale but within range. However, my DHEA level was very high out of normal range. I do not take DHEA supplements I do take SAMe and I am suffering some hair loss could the SAMe be causing the high dhea levels?

Answer to question: no. What I do not like about blood and saliva tests is that they are not accurate in that they provide a snapshot of levels where they were at the time the sample was taken. However, since levels go up and down through the 24 hour cycle, one has no clue what the overall picture may be. It could be compared to being given a photograph of Arnold Swartzenmuscle when you thought you paid for a ticket to The Terminator. Sorry to tell you, but you wasted your money. The test you want is the 24 hour urine collection measurement. The best lab for that is AAL of Austin, Texas.
