Lyme disease / samento / Beck protocol

I have been diagnosed with Lyme disease. I'm very confused about it though, as there's so many conflicting views on it. I've used samento, which gave me a Herxheimer reaction, then I switched to the 'Beck protocol', but I don't know if it's really helping. I've also quit drinking and smoking, plus started exercising and drinking more water, and am trying to eat a whole food organic vegan diet (not doing perfect on that though). I feel better than I did two months ago, but I'm not sure if it's from the samento, Beck protocol, or dietary/lifestyle changes. My (supposedly) Lyme literate doctor prescribed two months of antibiotics. He said I'm looking at potentially 4-6 months on these. I'm kind of leary to try these, and am wondering if I should just go with straight samento for a year or two since the tests I've read about report no side effects, and antibiotics are horrible for you. Can you help?

Long term antibiotics do not have a great track record with Lyme and samento is generally thought to be more effective, at least by people who practice alternative medicine. Also, long term antibiotics often do serious damage to the digestive and immune systems. If you got a Herxheimer reaction from samento, that surely means something was dying off. The best samento is at With Lyme you have to hit it hard and consistently from several directions. I like your multi-disciplinary approach. Your challenge will probably be in staying with it.
