Right Sided Heart Failure

The very significant other in my life just received the preliminary diagnosis of Right-Sided Heart Failure; tests are under way. Here is the picture: African-American male, 51 years old, Creole, 6 feet 2 inches tall, weighs 320 lbs, with longstanding history of high-blood pressure more or less controlled by medication, 20 plus years history of sleep apnea, non-smoker except for an occasional mild cigar, no alcohol consumption except for an occasional Curvoisier Cognac, physically strong and muscular, loves to cook, is very grounded in nutrition he grew up with in New Orleans, Louisiana. My straight-forward question to you: where does he start changing his nutrition? Where can we find straighforward samples of 'good' food and balanced nutrition? How can we find out what food is good for him?

Let's wait until we have more data. Dietary change might not be the most fruitful approach. Often right sided heart failure is associated with pulmonary hypertension. I will leave this string open so we can correspond. When you get more information, please write me.
