Can you tell me anything about IgA Nephropathy and what can be done to help us save this young man's kidneys. Right now he only has blood in his urine after exercise.

IgA Nephropathy or Berger's ("burrjae's") disease is the most common non-diabetic kidney disease. IgA, a normal component of the blood, collects in the kidney as damaging deposits. It is considered an autoimmune disease. Just why these deposits form is not known though a variety of factors such as family genetics and coincident infections seem to play important roles.
