Artificial Sweeteners

I am currently going through a treatment which requires me to keep refined sugars out of my diet with the exception of a little Rice Milk twice a day. What your take is on artificial sweeteners?. I've been hearing mixed things about sweeteners such as Sweet'N'Low and the recent one called Splenda.

I recommend avoiding all artificial sweeteners. They are chemicals and no one knows the long term effects. There is an herb called Stevia which is about 100 x the sweetness of sugar. I have heard no ill reports of Stevia and it is widely available. Because nature made it, I have no problem with it.

Awesome, I have heard of this herb before but I never bothered to try it. Thanks for the recommendation and quick reply.
