I support for flu shots for the following: elderly, or 55 years of age+, immuno-compromised people in nursing homes and health care workers, people with respiratory, heart or other chronic diseases (including children with asthma), women who will be in their second or third trimester of pregnancy during the winter flu season, have asthma, chronic bronchitis, emphysema, tuberculosis, bronchiectasis, or cystic fibrosis, for a caregiver or household member of those at risk for the flu, those who have heart disease, severe anemia, diabetes, kidney disease, those who are experiencing diseases or treatments that may lower their immunity[Not CFS patients].

The point of view of natural medicine is that there are better, and far safer ways, to bolster the immune system than give immunizations. These methods also provide (proven by epidemiological studies) protection from cancer and vascular disease, the major killers in our age. I have not had influenza one time since I began the practice of nutritional medicine and I am constantly exposed as I have children in grade school and am frequently at the school. I am 56 years old. This is the short answer. If you want the long one, go to Library Articles to the left and scroll down to Vaccinations.
