We have searched years for help with my husband's diagnosis of adhesive arachnoiditis. Neurosurgeons say his is the most horrible case they have encountered and offer no treatment. Pain specialist prescribe oral opiods which provide very slight relief from the constant and severe pain in the low back and legs. He describes the pain as if his legs were raw meat being torn from the bone. I can not even imagine his suffering. Can you suggest any other possibilities?

If I were in your place I would consider the possiblity of slow growing fungal occupancy of the arachnoid layer.
