I would like to know just how many carbohydrates should we have in a day. I am on a diet, but I don't know what my intake of carbos should be.

There are no hard and fast answers. Generally, if you select the right foods you can go by your own body's inclinations. The idea is to avoid pasta, bread, rice, and other forms of starcy carbs which come with little or no other nutritional components.
