Clitorectomy (Clitoral Amputation)

Clitorectomy (Clitoral Amputation)

Dr. Kennedy
The clitoris is a small mass of erectile tissue situated at the anterior apex of the vestibule. Clitorectomy is amputation of the clitoris, a surgical procedure in which all or part of the clitoris and sometimes also the labia are removed. Clitoral amputation is a form of female circumcision (female genital mutilation). Also called clitoridectomy, it is practiced by some primitive cultures, Muslim and otherwise. It would appear to be a form of gynephobia and/or misogyny designed to subjugate women.
