Statin Drug's Side-effects
An accumulating body of evidence suggests that, at least in some people, statins have a devastating permanent effect related to induced mutation of mitochondrial DNA. This appears to manifest as an extreme fatigue, transient global amnesia (TGA), severe muscle weakness, all of which mimics the picture of amyotrohic lateral sclerosis (ALS, aka Lou Gehrig’s disease). It may turn out that the approval of statin drugs will be one more sordid tale in the storied history of extreme damage to the public caused FDA approved drugs.
