Low Stomach Acid (Hypochlorhydria)

For years I was told I had reflux due to high stomach acid, even though I repeatedly told doctors I didn't "identify" with the term heartburn. Now I learn that I have actually suffered from low stomach acid (called hypochlorhydria) for all these years. For the last several months I have been taking handfuls of betaine hydrochloride (HCL) capsules, which has helped immensely. I'm taking about ten 650 mg. capsules a day.

There is a German homeopathic remedy called Speci-col made by Pekana which I have had great success with to return the ability to make stomach acid. I suggest you talk it over with your doctor.
