Poor Memory and Hair Loss

I have a complete inability to retain information. I work for a large company and never can remember where I parked. I used to suffer from extreme fatigue. I have irregular periods and high prolactin levels. I have no hair in the back of my head. My derrmatologist says there is no reason why I can't grow hair, though I don't. I read about Wilson's syndrome on your website. I have many of the symptoms. A naturopahic doctor gave me thyroid meds - porcine 1 gram. I've had dramatic results. No longer feel like a walking zombie. However, my memory is shot. I can not remember names, events, information. I feel I am even losing my ability to speak. I always had cavities and therefore silver filings as a child. When I was 18 y/o my back teeth were dang near reconstructed with some sort of silver material. Anyway, please advise. Do you have any thoughts on my hair loss and extreme memory loss. It has become extremely frustrating. I am always dazed and confused. Edited 3 time(s). We'll I've always had extremely irregular bowel movements all my life. It was a family joke how little
I used the bathroom. I feel since taking the porcine things have gotten better especially when I eat healthy. I probably go about four to five times a week now. Re: Poor Memory and Hair Loss

It is simply impossible to diagnose you without a face-to-face where I could get details. However, in the most general terms in a case with such dramatic memory loss it is necessary to consider toxicity. This could be any of a fantastic array of toxins from carbon monoxide to mercury or lead overload to unrecognized food sensitivites. The best advice I can give you is to become a sleuth and find a doctor of like mind - a person who would suspect the unsuspected. I would not deny the possibility that you have a thyroid problem, but "a complete inability to retain information" in an otherwise intelligent person, which you obviously are, would lead me to suspect more that thyroid. And, by the way, bowel movement 4-5 per week is not adequate. You have at least to be toxic on that. Re: Poor Memory and Hair Loss

Do you take insurance? I have HIP Prime, but could switch to Empire. I live in N.Y. Really, my hair loss could be caused by food sensitivities? And if so, why would I have them and not someone else? I am pretty sure I am allergic to wheat. My ankles swell when eating anything with white and whole wheat flour. I recently discovered rice too causes me to binge. I am overweight. I've never been able to refrain from the wheat and diary products long enough to see optimal health. However, I never thought they could possibly be the cause of my memory and hair loss. I've tried to be akaline, and do feel much better when I am, but it's a difficult lifestyle to maintain in suburbia. I hate to cook. How does one measure toxicity? And then how does one proceed to detox? Also, I got the impression from your website that if filings are not removed it's a waste of time to detox? Is this true? Edited 1 time(s). 1. I do not bill insurance companies, but if you have a PPO (allows you to choose your own doctor), you can fill out a one page form and take reimbursement.
2. Foods to which one is sensitive should be considered real toxins not to be dallied with. There are other causes of hair loss, but toxic exposure is surely one of them. 3. I am not proposing any specific causes for your health problems, simply bringing up some general guidelines. 4. Mercury is measured with the DMPS Challenge Test (http://www.medical-library.net/content/view/227/41/). Detox is done with oral or intravenous chelation. 5. Reducing mercury is very difficult while there is still a potent source in the body (dental amalgams). 6. Glad to see you if you want to come for a visit. Edited 2 time(s). Thanks. Do you have Sat. hours, if I were to come for a visit? Would one visit be enough to determine my issues? I plan to remove my dental filings after the new year. If my ankles swell from eating flour products, am I doing irreparable damage to my body? How much do you charge? In other words what is the process for my symptoms - hair and memory loss? How many times would I need to visit you? What about the chelation? How long is that? Re: Poor Memory and Hair Loss
