Acid issue involving Ulcer, GERD, and Gastritis

I was diagnosed late last November (by endoscopy) with esophogitis, hiatal hernia, gastritis, and ulcer. The gastroenterologist advised Protonix which made it all worse. After having a Heidelberg test, I was told I had too little acid rather than too much stomach acid. I have gotten off sweets and spices, been using various supplements advised by a nutritional MD and a homeopath, and have tried HCL -- but the HCL aggravated the ulcer. I am currently taking a homeopathic called Robinia Nicotiana pellets for the GERD. This seems to alleviate the symptom somewhat and the ulcer kicks up when I get stressed out or the acid is severe. What do you think about my taking Speci-chol (which I came upon as a suggestion on your website)?

Speci-chol usually increases acid production, but it should be used carefully as it can lead to overproduction of acid. If HCL aggravates the condition, you may already be making too much acid, Heidelberg test results not withstanding, so probably Speci-chol is not for you. Perhaps the homeopathic approach is best. If you are in the hands of a skilled homeopath there is an amazing amount of healing possible, but you may need to work with that person for an extended period of time.
