Shooting Chest pains

For the last couple of years I have been getting these shooting pains in my right chest. They seem to come only when I am just sitting around and not active. I have worn a heart monitor given by a cardiologist to try and determine if it was some type of irregular heart rhythm but this test found nothing. The pains last from 5 to 30 seconds, and hurt mostly when I breath in so I wonder if it has anything to do with my lungs. I am only 15 years old, and my doctors are out of ideas.

Naturally I am not trying to diagnose someone I have never met, but sounds like you are describing pleurisy.

Thank you so much for your reply. I am now starting to research pleurisy, and if I think that it may apply to me I plan to visit my doctor to see what he thinks. Thank you so much for you help, and as much as I'd hate to have anyting wrong with me; I would love for this to be the end of my problem.
