ear pressure/dizzyness/noise sensitivity...

In connection with a recent inquiry posted regarding symptoms (see title) possibly connected with mercury poisoning. I have almost identical symptoms to this 52 year old male, Robert. My question is: why would these symptoms manifest NOW? I may have been exposed to mercury either when my fillings where first put in or when they were removed, either way has been years ago. My symptoms - out of the blue - manifested during a recent trip to Japan last February while at a hot spring/bath in the mountains outside Nagasaki. I am in menopause, and this has challenged several aspects of my well-being... These symptoms have slightly subsided but are still debilitating.

Your question allows a doctor to do what doctors do best - speculate without burden of proof. My speculation is: many factors affect and degrade health. Young people generally tolerate toxic loads better than old people. One of the things which degrades health is the simple passage of time and the inevitable changes which go with it. If a thousand men were trying to toss a stone into the grand canyon and could not lift it, it could be that one more man would be enough to get the job done. In a negative way I believe the passage of time is like that - the final straw that breaks the camel's back.
