Increasing Stomach acid

My son is 9 years old with many of his adult teeth. He has autism and doesn't speak, doesn't understand what pills are or how to take them. I have to add Betaine HCL capsules to his bottles in order to prevent very bad gas and belching. This is going to ruin his teeth. Can I somehow raise his stomach acid another way?

First of all, as I read what you wrote, it appears that you may be simply assuming your son has hypochlorhydria. It would be very unusual for such a young person to have that problem. There are other causes of dysbiosis (the cause of belching and "bad gas"). 80% of the immune system is located in the gut and if it becomes disabled, the result is dysbiosis. (The immune system is responsible for regulating the gut flora.) The usual causes of immune system dysregulation are antibiotic use and heavy metals. Some people are particularly sensitive to these insults and even small doses give them problem. The common sources of mercury are fish consumption and dental amalgam. If this is the problem, there are remedies to help, but the problem is always just under the surface until the basic issues are settled, that is the antibiotics and/or metal toxins are removed and the immune system is restored with the SanPharma Protocol. If he were my child, I would not give him HCL, but have him evaluated by a doc who has wrapped his or her mind around this whole subject (and there are very few).
