Curly hair goes straight & blood test results

I have had very curly hair for all of my life. Overnight, two months ago it went perfectly straight. I Went to my doctor and got a physical - I'm fine. The following were my blood test results that were abnormal, all else within limits. Glucose, Serum 62; Uric Acid Serum 9.9;GGT 172; /colesterol 222; triglycerides 473; HDL;TSH .6; MCV103; MCH35. I have very dry cracked skin, am always cold, brittle nails, diarrhea and constipation and I'm sooooooo tired. I've been depressed for years even hospitalized for it. I am an social drinker and smoke a half pack per day and am trying to quit that. Although I'm only 52, I am 13 years post-menopausal. I suffered from anorexia for most of my life, although I have been recovering successfully for the past 10 years. Please tell me what kind of doctor to go to for a diagnosis.

Well, as I read it you have asked me a very simple question - what kind of doc to go to for a diagnosis. I will presume you also want a doc who could not only diagnose you but also treat you so that you get better. The answer is: a good doc. The question then is how to find a good doc since there are many clueless not-so-good docs out there in the way. I suggest you start with the docs on this web site (click on Find A Doctor above) and then when you call, quiz them a little bit on hypometabolism. Before you do that, read up on the subject yourself at:
