chelation helps bone loss ?

If a person has bone loss, is there a value in chelation therapy as a way to replace lost calcium and thus stabilize or reverse osteoporosis?

Intravenous EDTA chelation therapy has been shown to help replace lost bone in osteoporosis. It is one of the many side benefits of EDTA. However, if osteoporosis is a major problem, there are other things to do about it, namely hormone measurement and replacement with natural orthomolecular hormones, evaluation of the digestive process and correction of any problems in that area, and maintenance of systemic alkalinity. Supplementation is probably last and least important on the list and should include the full spectrum of nutrients required to build bone. Taking calcium alone is not effective. Magnesium makes bones hard and should be taken in a 2:1 ratio with calcium, but again there is much more required to build bone than a couple of minerals.

Thanks for your response. Yes of course, is not just one aspect. But if chelation is a known benefit wouldn't it make sense... along with the other 3 or 4 avenues you suggest? Can you suggest someone for chelation in New York City?

I agree. Click on Find A Doctor above to locate a chelation doctor. If no one is there close enough to you, use our service to locate a list of the 10 closest docs by zip code.
