Thirty years ago I had a still birth and was injected with epinephrine every 15 minutes for over 24 hours to keep me alive. I developed a severe allergy to epinephrine and was told that it could kill me. I have suspected problems with my adrenal ever since. A month ago I started getting extreme exhaustion and shortness of breath. I was diagnosed with congestive heart failure. I doubted the diagnosis. After getting no help I got a CAT scan last Thursday. A 4 cm. adrenal tumor was found along with a few other problems unrelated to heart failure. How should I proceed?

To proceed rationally you need a lot more information than you have presented in your note to me. You need to know if this is a benign or a malignant tumor. If malignant, you need to know if it has spread or not. You need to know if it is hormone producing and if so you need to know what hormones are being produced and in what amounts and what the effects on your body may be. In short, you need to be in the hands of a very good doctor. That doctor should answer all your questions to your satisfaction and reason through your options in a sensible way with your end-goals in mind (which I presume are to stay alive and be healthy).
