Sugar Addiction

My daughter is thirteen and she will lie, cheat and steal to get candy. This has been going on for 3 years, it's almost as if she can't help herself. I'm seeing the same behavior as drug addicts display. I'm really at a loss.

Consider the possibility of an overgrowth of yeast, anaerobic bacteria, and fungi in the gastrointestinal tract. Prolonged use of simple carbohydrates, especially when combined with the presence of mercury dental fillings can lead to leaky gut syndrome which then leads to chronic gut wall infection - in susceptible people. A gut wall infection disables the lining of the gut so that it no longer is able to regulate the gut flora. When that happens dysbiosis sets in with anaerobic bacteria, yeast, and fungus. At this point the person begins to crave sugar in earnest. It is almost as if, and maybe that, yeast and its friends secrete something which causes the host to crave sugar.
