I am 51 years old and have been belching/burping gas for the last 4 years after eating and none of the acid reducing medicine has helped. I have also tried DGL, Slippery Elm, Gentian, Apple Cider, Betaine HCL, Aged garlic and enzyme supplements and still belch and burp. What is causing this and How do I cure it?

Two possibilities come to mind: (1) you are an "air swallower" or (2) you have bacteria in your stomach which is causing the problem. If the first, only thing to do is try to become conscious of doing that and stop. If the second, you will need to see a doctor to have an nasogastric tube inserted to retrieve a specimen of stomach contents for culture and sensitivity so the right antibacterial can be prescribed.
