Something in Lungs

Since having my gallbladder removed almost six months ago I haven't been able to get rid of a constant cough. It changes from a clearing of throat cough (with thick mucus in throat) to a dry cough with no mucus and today I am quite worried as it feels like there is something in my lungs/windpipe when I swallow. I have tried antibiotics which did not help, numerous cough mixtures and I am currently trying a herbal elixir which is not working. I am worried sick.

I suggest you tell your doctor what you have told me. Probably he/she will want to have a chest x-ray done and maybe other tests to rule out a mass which is suggested by the way it feels to you. If there is a tumor there, the sooner you know about it the better is your prognosis with treatment. If there is nothing there the sooner you know that the sooner you can stop worrying about it. If it turns out nothing is present, that means there is some irritation in the nerve supply of the larynx which give you a tickle sensation. It is possible for the origin of that sensation to be from surgery, but it is hard to see how gall bladder surgery could be at cause for that.
