Sclerotherapy Hypertension

Within a week or so after one injection for sclerotherapy, I developed acute hypertension. What is the "solution" composed of, that is injected to harden the bad vein? Has anyone heard of an acute reaction like this?

There are several sclerotherapy solutions. You could find out only by asking your doctor. If you are assigning the cause of acute hypertension to something that happened a week before the onset of the hypertension, you are skating on thin ice. It is probably wise to look elsewhere for the explanation. Here is the email address of one of the best sclerotherapits in the world, Dr. John Pletincks: drjohn@olsusa.com. I suggest you put the question to him.Tell him I sent you.
