Eating Healthy at College

I am a sophomore at Penn State University (go Blue and White!), and over the summer I dieted and danced, and as a result lost about 15 pounds. Now that I'm at college, I'm having trouble finding a healthy diet in the commons that will allow me to maintain my weight. Sometimes I go into bouts of almost anorexia because I'm so paranoid about carbs and fat and such....other times I can eat and not feel guilty at all. My weight has fluctuated between 125 and 130 (I'm 5'5''). What foods should I eat that will let me feel satisfied, but not guilty, in an environment where almost all the choices are high fat, high carb, or both?

This is an individual matter. By far the majority of people metabolize and store simple (fruit, candy) and refined carbs (bread, pasta, etc.) to fat and store them as such and the fat which is consumed is burned for energy, primarily. There are exceptions and you may be one of them. Experience will tell. Also, this tends to change with age, but of course at your age you will never grow old. Remember regular exercise can overcome many mistakes in dietary habits. To be perfectly safe, avoid simple and refined carbs and focus on complex carbs (veggies and protein), stop eating when you are satisfied, and do not eat for recreation.
