Can testosterone use by my boyfriend be the cause of my miscarriage?

Are we talking about real orthomolecular testosterone, or a synthetic knock-off? If orthomolecular (natural) testosterone it makes no sense to think it would cause a fetal problem or a miscarriage unless overdosed by the mother during pregnancy. If it is a synthetic knock-off, I do not have the answer for you, although I would still doubt association with miscarriage. Testosterone (and the synthetic versions as well) cause a dramatic drop in sperm count and is used in China as a male birth control measure. It is surprising to hear that you became pregnant in that circumstance. In the unlikely event that you consumed some of the testosterone, then there is an association with poor egg quality and elevated levels of testosterone in women.
