My left leg shin and calf and inner thigh were feeling a little sore on Sunday morning. I did not take too much notice because I was feeling ill after going to a very boozey party Saturday night. I woke up early Monday morning vomiting and found that my left leg shin and calf was much more sore. On Monday morning it was very red, on Monday night purple and swollen, my inner thigh just slightly red and slightly sore. It is now Wednesday and my left shin is still purple and swollen but I think it is subsiding a little. I also feel sick and have had the sweats and a fever since Monday. It seems very strange. At first I thought maybe I had banged my leg but it seems more like some sort of poisoning than a contusion. I would appreciate your thoughts.

While I cannot diagnose you without seeing this personally, I do advise you to get to a doctor right away. If no one is available to see at this moment, go to an emergency room. This sounds like it could be thrombophlebitis which can be quite dangerous if a blood clot breaks loose and heads for the heart and lungs. Don't fool around with this. Get some medical attention immediately.
