What exactly is done in bariatrics? Is it permanent? Is it dangerous? What are the risks? My sister wants to do the bariatrics treatment but I am skeptical. Can you help me understand more about it?

Bariatrics is the general term for medical procedures of weight reductions from simple dieting to liposuction to stomach surgery.
