Migraine and Detox

I have lost most of my hope of ever having a normal life. After reading the information on your website, I spoke with my doctors (both traditional and alternative). My symptoms are migraines (clusters in groups of 5 to 8 every 6 weeks), fatigue, weight gain, pain in most of my joints, nausea and I'm cold almost all the time. I had a hysterectomy when I was 30 due to ovarian cancer and taken almost every medicine available for migraines with no help. My alternative physician put me on a detox program and I became very violently ill. We switched the herbs several times to no avail. My reaction to them were welts and bruising everywhere especially on my legs and lower body. My traditional physician treats the symptoms not the cause. I have stopped informing her about my symptoms, due to the fact that everytime I do, I come home with a new "drug." Suggestions?

Detoxification can be a long and delicate process, but in the end the rewards are great. One must proceed slowly, especially where migraine is concerned because the sudden release of toxins tends to trigger the pain. The idea is to make a little progress on the overall toxic condition every day, religiously, and be very patient. Not all detox methods are equal. For migraine, utilizing the sweat glands (sauna) is a good idea because the toxins are immediately outside the body. Drinking lots of distilled water has the same effect except the kidneys are utilized. After a lot of progress in made in this way, one can begin with the more vigorous detox methods such as herbs, psyllium/bentonite shakes, etc. Not to be forgotten are the heavy metals, most commonly mercury from amalgams. Remember to identify food intoleraances by electrodermal screening. There is a lot of information on detox on this web site. Use Search This Site.
