In July of last year I had a terrible yeast infection for which my doctor gave me three Diflucan pills, about two months later I had a vein pop out in my left leg, shortly after that my hips, knees and ankles began hurting (I have swollen veins in the other leg now, too). My rheumatologist thinks that I have fibromyalgia. I'm hoping that I can pull myself out of the abyss with your help.

As to just the aspect of diet, in general an alkalinizing diet is vegetable and an acidic diet animal derived. Of course one must also consider the emotional life and exposure to toxins, radiation, EMFs, etc. Most important is the possibility of a hidden chronic infection - gut wall and cavitations are the most common ones. In the presence of such things it is very difficult to remain alkaline as they are producing tons of acids. When that is the case, one is facing either a life-time of feeling ill or life-long compensatory measures or identifying and correcting the basic problem of hidden chronic infection.
