I had a colectomy 15 years ago for a megacolon secondary to what they thought was colitis. Six month later I had a fistula and infection from just below the stoma. Now they call it Crohn's colitis. The illiostomy was moved to the other side. Then 3 years later the same thing happen at the new site. It was moved again. Now after 10 years I have another fistula. Do you know of anything new that could help me heal the fistula.

The nutrient which is most healing for the colon is butyrate. I like Butyric-Cal-Mag by Biotics Research Corp. three caps twice or thrice daily. The presence of viruses are commonly associated with Crohn's disease. A good anti-viral is d-Lenolate by East Park Research. Also, vitamin D deficiency is strongly associated with all forms of chronic inflammatory bowel disease.
