Just how dangerous is sitting next to a CPU tower all day?

How dangerous a central processing unit (CPU) of a personal computer may be, or a cell phone for that matter, is not a settled question; it is not even settled that they are dangerous. Until they are proven not dangerous, I favor taking protective measures as my intuition and common sense say they are - dangerous that is. Anecdotal stories abound of people talking all day on cell phones and next thing you know, brain cancer. I do not sit next to my computer and I use a headset for my cell phone and keep the phone itself away from me at least arms length when in use. Of course we all have EM waves going though us at all times - radio, television, etc. - at all frequencies. Even those may be a problem. Something has produced a cancer epidemic in the last 100 years and that may be an important factor. But back to the point - putting a cell phone next to the temporal lobe of my brain may be a little more intense than absorbing the EMWs from CNN. Living in close proximity to high power electrical lines has been shown pretty conclusively to be strongly related to leukemia, so it seems to me caution with all sources of EM energy is the better part of valor.
