Back in 1998 I was just sitting in a hospital with my dying mother and in an instant my left arm went numb and felt like it weighed 50 pounds. I also had cold sweats and was in shock by myself and did not get to the ER. since then I have had an angiogram, stress tests, EKG's and echocardiograms among other tests for things other then the heart. The strangest symptom is that I live in a hot climate and when I am working outside my skin feels ice cold and clammy. I hesitate to go to the hospital because the doctors have tagged me with somataform disorder. My body temp is low, which you have said is most likely a systemic fungal infenction. One report I found from '99 shows a rare isolation of staph aureus. A doctor told me that everone has some staph and is nothing to worry about. I wonder if I could have picked it up in the hospital during 4 months of sitting in ICU and hospital rooms. If your skin gets really cold in the heat of the day, what are the possibilities?

If one part of the body is suddenly colder than the rest, and numb as well, this stongly suggests an interruption in the blood flow to that part. Sounds like your general metabolism is not doing that well either. This type of thing can also be caused by psychological trauma, but that should be the last thing considered after everything else is ruled out.
