low grade fevers

For two years (after dental surgery) I run a fever of 99 to 100 degrees daily - on occasion it is 98 - for 50 years my temp has been 97 degree range. I also have joint pain - myalgias - extreme fatigue (usually goes away by napping - sometimes not even sleeping). I also have other symptoms like MS - CFS -most recently I have lost a lot of strength and am unsteady. The symptoms come and go with the fevers. I am concerned because I am getting worse. I am an RN and my doctor states the temps are nothing to worry about because 99 is normal for some patients.

What comes to mind is the possibility of a low grade viral infection. Of course, sounds like you need a doc who will take you seriously. Docs who list on this web site practice natural medicine. There is a genetic test called the Polymerase Chain Reaction performed by Immunosciences Lab at 800-950-4686. The cost is $150 and the following organisms can be tested for:
Candida
HIV (HTLV-1 AND 2)
Lyme Disease (Borrelia burgdorferi)
Chlamydia species
Chlamydia pneumonia
Chlamydia trachomatis
Mycoplasma identificatoin
Mycoplasma pneumoniae
Mycoplasma fermentans
Ureaplasma urealyticum
Herpes 1 and 2
Herpes 6, 7, and 8
Varicella-Zoster
Neisseria gonorrhea
Epstein-Barr virus
Cytomegalovirus (CMV)
