What can I do to stop more age spots from appearing on my skin?
Any suggestions? How can I get rid of them once they appear?

Those brown spots are the result of oxidation. As we age, we get those spots on the skin and also internally. Antioxidants slow down this process. To remove the ones on the face, laser treatment works well. The laser blasts the brown spot...brown is darker than the surrounding skin, so it absorbes the light more. The pulse feels like a spot of sunburn and nothing more. The pigment is broken up and absorbed by the body. To keep more from appearing, use sun screen for an external barrier and antioxidants to fight them internally. One other way to remove age spots is to have them removed with liquid nitrogen. This is a simple quick procedure and healing occurs over about two weeks. This must be done by a person who is wwll practiced in the technique. If it is applied too lightly it does not work, if too long it produces a white scar. They can be also be suppressed with a 4% solution of hydroquinone, however when you stop using it, they reappear.
