Please Help I think I have Cancer

I've had a swollen lymph node on the right side of my neck since April. My doctor said not to worry about it. But I am worring about it.. It's now Sept. and its still there. It hasn't changed in any way. I keep checking my neck daily to see if its going away. I'm way to scared to go back to my doctors because I'm scared he's going to tell me I may have cancer and I should go for more tests. I had blood tests back and April and everything was fine. I don't feel sick. I'm just having panic attacks about this node. I'm aready on Celexa. I'm not even sure how long this node has been there. I was just checking my neck in April because I had a real bad sore throat. Most of the time the doctors don't even feel it until I point it out.

There are tests which will put the matter to rest, one way or the other. Ask your doctor for those tests. Every doctor can recall going through such experiences as a medical student. I have no way of knowing if you have cancer or not, but cancerophobia happens under stress and in depression. In med school it is known as "Medical Student's Syndrome."
