tapering off immunosuppressives

A patient is on Cylcosporin, Cellcept, and Prednisone to prevent rejection of a transplanted kidney. Any ideas of how best to taper the medications while maintaining the function of the graft?

Yes, follow his doctors instructions. In addition, detoxification and nutritonal treatment with a doctor experienced in these areas can make a big difference. Even if his diet is perfect, his emotional life in perfect order, and even if he is living in a perfectly clean environment (almost impossible) he is still toxic on the drugs.

His doctor has no plan to ever get him off the immunosuppressives. Is it possible? How would you do it?

Again: follow the doctor's instructions. If he or she (the "patient") must have this medication for life to prevent rejection, then that is part of the bargain to have a new kidney. Still, the immune system can be supported and I refer you to my previous comments. The idea would be to nutralize the toxic side-effects of the drug to the closest degree possible.
