Anomia or Anomic aphasia is a problem with word finding. Impaired recall of words with no impairment of comprehension or the capacity to repeat the words. If you show such a person an egg, they cannot find the word "egg" but may say something like "from a chicken." Causes include trauma, tumor, vascular insufficiency, senility, and Alzheimer's disease.
