Food Myth #14: Eating should be an orgasmic experience. Print E-mail
by Ron Kennedy, M.D., Santa Rosa, CA

Dr. Kennedy This belief has it that if it doesn't somehow feel like an orgasm to eat a particular food, that food should be avoided. Orgasm foods tend to be slick (laden with fat) and thus slide down the esophagus, and also tasty — which usually means salt and/or sugar. These are comfort foods, because they provide a pleasurable experience in an otherwise pleasureless life. Examples are ice cream, candy, chips, yogurt, cheeses, fried foods, and you can finish this long list. If it tastes and feels good, you put it in your mouth without further consideration! Comfort foods universally are foods which slice years off your life and rob you of vitality and alertness. They contain seriously addicting ingredients. Avoid comfort foods!

Proceed to: Aerobic Exercise.
