There are various types named according to the particular white cells involved and the clinical course, and sometime the age of onset: chronic lymphocytic leukemia, chronic myelocytic leukemia, chronic myelogenous leukemia, juvenile chronic myelogenous leukemia, and chronic myeloid leukemia.
