Agnosia Print E-mail

Dr. Kennedy Agnosia is the inability to interpret experiences derived through the senses. After brain damage (e.g. stroke, trauma, brain tumor, etc.) a person may not be able to make sense of sounds (auditory agnosis), visual images (visual agnosis), tactile sensations (sensory agnosis), taste (gustatory agnosis), smell (olfactory agnosis), or position in space (proprioceptive agnosis). It is rare for more than one kind of agnosia to appear in a person.
