Philosophy of Medical Practice Print E-mail

Dr. Kennedy The purpose of this article is to give you a view of my approach to medical practice. If you are reading this, you have already read Introduction to Practice, as that is the only way to find this article. My intention in writing this article is to insure that we achieve a good doctor / patient match. If you do not agree with my approach, you should find a doctor who is compatible with your medical philosophy.

My passion in life is to discover root causes. I believe the journey of life is of one piece, that is to say "holistic." By the time we are old enough to become philosophers about the human condition, we are also old enough to have become out of balance in the area of physical health. Very few people consider their out-of-balance condition until the side-effects become a nuisance. In many cases it must come as a threat to life itself before it will be dealt with and sometimes not even then will it be handled. Many people are shocked to discover they are ill, yet the signs and risk factors have been present for decades. Psychologists call this "denial."

Avoidance of suffering is a legitimate reason to pursue better health. The best time to avoid suffering is before it begins, that is to say the best medicine is preventive medicine. When you come to me as patient, I will be coaching you not only on clearing up whatever you come to me to clear up, but also I will be coaching you on how to not need my services in the future.

You may now be adequately informed to know if we are a good doctor / patient match. If you wish to make an appointment, you can email me at nexus@sonic.net for an appointment. Tell me your best times to be seen and I will do my best to accommodate your wishes. I will send you an appointment email. Please read it carefully.
